Assemble Comfort Promise Bags and Craft Kits for Patients and Families
Description
Help support patients and families at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Volunteers will assemble craft packs to provide essential distraction tools for patients between treatments, as well as Comfort Promise Kits filled with items to soothe and comfort children during needle sticks. Together, you'll sort, pack, and prepare these vital kits to distribute care and relief across the hospital.

Organization Mission
Phoenix Children’s provides craft packs to patients and their siblings throughout the entire hospital. Patients receive an craft pack to use while receiving treatment or upon discharge. These activities are great for down time between treatment or as a distraction tool. Phoenix Children’s also provides families with Comfort Promise Kits, as needed, during their stay. The kits contain stress balls and bubbles which are meant to help distract and comfort patients during needle sticks. This is part of a hospital wide initiative to address the pain that comes with needle sticks. During your visit on June 5th, you will help sort the items, pack into bags and load them for transport to areas around PCH.
