Matt Ross-Spang is a 4x Grammy Award-winning Producer, Engineer, and Mixer whose work has helped define a new era of American Roots music. Starting his career as a teenager at the iconic Sun Studio in Memphis, Matt quickly became known for his deep respect for analog recording and time-honored techniques. Over the years, he has worked with legends like Elvis Presley (remixing archival recordings) and collaborated with contemporary artists including Jason Isbell, Margo Price, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Al Green, and John Prine. Known for his warm, organic sound and his ability to bring out raw emotion in a recording, Matt blends traditional craftsmanship with a modern ear. He now runs his own studio, Southern Grooves, in Memphis- a space dedicated to continuing the city's rich musical legacy while fostering a new generation of timeless records.
