Anna Frick

Anna Frick’s career has its roots in a chance experience behind a mixing desk while she was still in high school. It was that “lightbulb moment” that led to formal studies at the University of Colorado-Denver. A wealth of professional experience followed, leading her to find a passion in mastering and restoration. She honed her craft at Airshow Mastering and after twelve years opened her own studio in Boulder, Colorado, Ally Sound.

She has mastered albums for Billy Strings, GRAMMY-nominees Wood & Wire, Justin Moses, John Denver, Roland Guerin, Ben Sollee, Big Richard, LVDY, and Third Man Records’ GRAMMY-winning The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records boxed set, on which she did mastering and restoration work. She has restored historic audio for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum, Louisiana State University, Colorado State University, and the University of Calgary.

Anna is also deeply involved in music industry leadership, advocacy and mentorship through her work with the Recording Academy (serving on the National Board of Trustees until 2025), the Audio Engineering Society (AES) (serving as the Colorado Section Vice Chair), SoundGirls.org (co-founder of the Colorado Chapter), and the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) (serving as Chair of the Board of Directors). She also teaches Recording Arts at the University of Colorado-Denver.

Outside of the studio, Anna is an active member of Colorado’s vibrant acoustic music scene, supporting bands and artists at all levels at concerts and festivals up and down the Front Range.

Shawna Potter is a Musician, Safer Space Guide, Author, and Intimacy Coordinator for film and television. She's been playing in bands since 14, touring since the age of 16, and experiencing sexism in music spaces since before she can remember. Her desire to ensure everyone has equal access to a good time started with anti-street harassment movement building in 2011. Soon after she took her expertise to spaces she felt most comfortable in, venues and clubs, creating the Safer Space Program to teach workers and audience members how to prevent and respond to identity-based harassment in real time. Shawna wrote the book on safer spaces - literally. Making Spaces Safer: A Guide to Giving Harassment the Boot Wherever You Work, Play, and Gather is a practical guide based on her Safer Space Program, which will be published as a self-guided online course on her website by 2026.

Though her current career focus is Intimacy Coordination, Shawna Potter also a certified Bystander Intervention instructor, front-person for Baltimore band War On Women, hosts the podcast But Her Lyrics, and fixes gear at Big Crunch Amp Repair. She's been interviewed by GRAMMY.com, Teen Vogue, The New York Times, Maximum Rocknroll and more, consulted for organizations like Calling All Crows and GrooveSafe, and contributed a Bystander Intervention lesson plan for TeachRock, an open educational resource launched by Stevie Van Zandt to help teachers bring more music into the classrooms.
